Old Town Square

Famous square, thriving heart of Prague, is located just seven minutes walk from Hotel Leonardo. It has been a setting for many famous events, both happy and tragic. However the most famous part of it is probably the Old Town Hall Astronomical Clock. Every hour the Procession of Apostles appears with its eloquent allegories, attracting attention of tourists and visitors.

Jewish Quarter in Josejov

Prague’s old Jewish Ghetto lies close to the Old Town Square, just 10 minutes from our hotel. The first Jews settled in Prague around 10th century and by the 17th century more than 7000 Jews had made the city their home. Persecutions, fires and plundering were regular occurrences throughout the centuries. You should not definitely miss the Jewish Museum, Old Jewish Cemetery or one of six synagogues. The Old-New Synagogue, built in 13th century, is the oldest preserved synagogue in the Central Europe.

Charles Bridge

Our Prague hotel is just 300 meters from one of the most famous symbols of the city: Charles Bridge. It joins the historic quarters of the Old Town and Mala Strana. The bridge was founded by Charles IV in the year 1357 and is decorated with 30 statues of saints.

National Theatre

A neo-renaissance building lying only 100 meters from our premises. Its story reflects the thrilling history of the Czech nation. Nowadays is The National Theatre outstanding Czech stage and its repertoire consists of drama, opera and ballet performances.

Wenceslas Square/Wenceslas Square

One of the main city squares, is situated just 7 minutes from the hotel. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. The square is named after Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia.

Prague Castle

National cultural monument, the symbol of more than a millennium of the Czech state. Since its foundation in the last quarter of the 9th century it has been developing uninterruptedly throughout the past eleven centuries. It is a monumental complex of ecclesiastical, fortification, residential and office buildings representing all architectural styles and periods, surrounding three castle courtyards and covering 45 hectares. Originally it used to be the residence of princes and kings of Bohemia, since 1918 it is the seat of the president. Prague Castle is located 25 minutes walking distance through picturesque Lesser Town from our Prague center hotel.

Lesser Town

The quarter of Lesser Town grew up from around 1257. Originally created as a home for the German colonists, the area later was chosen by nobility for their permanent residences. They enriched it with sumptuous palaces, magnificent churches and charming gardens.
